Who is Filth Skincare?

We are a skincare company based out of Seattle, Washington that sells beauty products that only contain 100% pure ingredients, free from any additives or harsh chemicals, with an emphasis on products that are certified organic and of the highest therapeutic-grade quality. All of our products are handmade in small batches, and made specifically for you when you place your order, making every single product customizable. We never test our formulas on animals, and every single product sold is cruelty free. Each ingredient is chosen with thought as to how the singular ingredient and entire product formula will effect the human body, and how its natural properties can benefit the user. Our packaging is silkscreen printed by hand directly onto the container, or on 100% recycled paper, using non-toxic ink that gently washes away with water. All products are put into glass containers that can be reused or recycled. We believe that quality self care should be affordable and attainable to everyone, so we price our products fairly based upon what they cost to create. We also believe that a business can be run successfully through stimulating jobs for the economy by never outsourcing to automated machine run product distribution, ethical growing/buying practices, and environmentally friendly packaging and shipping solutions.

What does pure mean and why does it matter?

Purity is the most important factor when it comes to choosing ingredients, and it is the reason Filth Skincare was created. In a world that is oversaturated with claims of a product being "organic" very few companies are stressing purity when it comes to their products. By definition, pure means an ingredient that is not mixed, or altered, with any other substance or material. Much attention to detail went into selecting the ingredients we use in all of our products, and while researching what we found were so many companies that were advertising as organic, but were cutting corners to save on costs. This means they would satisfy the 95% organic volume of the product to receive the organic label, and advertise as such, but would cut the remaining 5% with something inexpensive, typically alcohol. Alcohol use on skin can cause pre-mature signs of aging and dry out your naturally beautiful skin! That is why every Filth Skincare product is 100% alcohol free and 100% pure.

How are your ingredients chosen?

Each ingredient is hand picked with thought as to how the singular ingredient and entire product formula will effects the body, and how its natural properties can benefit the user.

Where are your ingredients sourced from?

The majority of our ingredients are sourced from within the United States with an emphasis on utilizing local and small businesses. We do research to make sure our ethics align with the companies we source from. 

Where are your products made?

All products are made fresh in small batches through our Seattle Washington location once your order is placed.

Are preservatives used in your products?

Our product formulas utilize natural preservatives such as beeswax, essential oils, honey, salt, and sugar. We also use a natural preservative called Germaben II in all our lotions to ensure our product stays fresh for the duration of its use.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Below is a list of each product we offer at Filth Skincare and its shelf life...

Essential Oils- Infinite shelf life, but essential oils lose potency with time, recommended use within 1 year

Candles- Infinite shelf life, but essential oils lose potency with time, recommended use within 1 year

Natural Perfume & Cologne- Infinite shelf life, but essential oils lose potency with time, recommended use within 1 year

Men's Hair Oil- 1 year

8 oz. Lotions (with pump)- 6 months - 1 year

Herbal Toner- 6 months

Sea Salt Sprays- 6 months

Lip Balms- 3-4 months

Do your products contain any nut oil?

Yes! Nuts contain beneficial natural properties such as antioxidants, magnesium, and vitamin E. All of our lotions, and some of our roll-on diffusers, contain sweet almond oil, as well as some of our unique blends utilize nutmeg essential oil. It is always important to read ingredient lists for any product, no matter if you have allergies or not. We understand that every human is different, and we strive to make products as unique as you are. If you have any specific allergies or sensitivities and would like a product custom made to fit your needs, let us know at checkout, or e-mail us at customerservice@filthskincare.com and we will make a product perfectly suited for you.

Are your products safe for pregnant women?

Please consult with your doctor before adding any essential oils into your daily routine. Once your doctor approves essential oil usage the Filth Skincare products that are safe to use during the second and third trimester of your pregnancy are... Citrus Blend Candle, Citrus Blend Lotion, Citrus Blend Perfume, Citrus Blend Essential Oil, French Lavender Candle, French Lavender Lotion, French Lavender Perfume, French Lavender Essential Oil, Eucalyptus Sea Salt Spray, French Lavender Sea Salt Spray, Lemongrass Sea Salt Spray, French Lavender Lip Balm, Peppermint Lip Balm, and Roman Chamomile Lip Balm.

Are your products safe for people with sensitive skin?

We make all our products light and gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin.

Are your products vegan?

All of our roll-on oil diffusers, essential oil blends, and sea salt sprays are 100% vegan! We use beeswax in our candles, lotions, and lip balms, as well as honey in a few of our lotions.

Are your products cruelty free?

Of course! We love animals so much that we would never test on them! We test every product on family, friends, and employees. Never on animals.


SHIPPING

Where does Filth Skincare ship?

We currently are only accepting orders and shipping products in the United States and Puerto Rico, but hope to expand to a global level in the future.

Do I have to pay for shipping?

We dislike charging shipping costs as much as you dislike paying them. Paying a portion of the shipping fee helps us keep our product prices fair and competitive. We offer free Priority Mail shipping on orders of $50 or more.

How can I edit my shipping address?

If your order is being shipped to an incorrect address, please email us at customerservice@filthskincare.com.

When will my order ship?

Here’s how it works: you order, we process, then we ship.

Ordering takes a few seconds. Processing takes 2 business days (Monday-Friday) because we make each product fresh and specifically for you! Once your order has shipped, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with your USPS tracking number.

When will my order arrive?

Every shipment is sent as Priority Mail through USPS. Once you receive your e-mail confirmation with your USPS tracking number the package should reach you in no more than 3 business days (Monday-Friday). From the time you place your order to the moment you receive your shipment, the entire process should take between 5-7 business days.

How long will a shipment take to get to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico?

You might experience a few extra days in shipping timelines. Shipping to these states could take 7-9 business days.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

What is your return policy?

Products that are unused, unopened, and in their delivered condition are eligible for a refund if they are processed within 30 days of delivery. You will be refunded in full to your original form of payment. Please note, your original shipping charges are not refunded and we do not reimburse or assume responsibility for return shipping charges or packages lost in transit.

How do I return or exchange a product?

We're sorry you didn't love your Filth Skincare product. Please e-mail us at customerservice@filthskincare.com with your order number and the products you'd like to exchange or return, and we'll take care of the rest.

How long does it take to process a return?

Credit card refunds usually take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.

What should I do if I received the wrong product?

If you receive the wrong product or shipment please e-mail us at customerservice@filthskincare.com and we’ll be sure to get you the product you ordered!

What should I do if my product was delivered damaged or broken?

All our products are made in glass bottles, and sometimes the mail is a little too rough on our precious cargo. If any of your product was broken during shipping e-mail us at customerservice@filthskincare.com and we'll get another product sent out to you immediately.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged as soon as your order is accepted and processed.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.


ORDER

How can I update my order?

Please email us at customerservice@filthskincare.com as soon as possible if you would like to cancel or change your order. Our fulfillment center processes orders quickly to begin making your product for you, but we’ll do our best to process your request.

Can I use multiple promo codes at checkout?

You can use one promo code per order. If you’ve encountered two valid Filth Skincare promo codes during your travels through the Internet, please choose the one you want to use more.

Can I use a promo code on top of a promotion?

You can use a promo code along with free shipping on orders of $50 or more. Other offers advertised on the website without a code will be automatically applied and cannot be used along with a separate promo code. If your order qualifies for an advertised offer and you also enter a promo code, we’ll apply the best deal.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee to relieve or cure any specific symptoms a person may be experiencing by using any of our products. Since everyone is built differently, we aim to make products suitable for every single person, but we cannot guarantee their success for each individual.
